Board Rules
- You certify that you are at least 18 years of age.
- Be preppy. This is a preppy community after all.
- Do not troll the site. A troll is defined as someone who uses the board with an agenda other than to be a decent and contributing member. Trolls are automatically banned from the site without warning or notification.
- Good things come to those who are nice and contribute to the well being of the community. Always be respectful of other members and the moderators. The site was established in good faith, please use it in good faith.
- The site takes harassment and stalking very seriously. Anyone exhibiting such behavior will be reported to the proper authorities and banned immediately.
- All types of content which are sexually explicit in nature are not allowed in the site. Please refrain from using any profanities and/or obscenities in your posts.
- Please do not spam the site.
- Please make your posts as easy to read as possible. Please refrain from posting in all caps. eLiTe style posts are not allowed. Posts which are difficult to read will be removed at the discretion of the moderators.

Please make an effort to check and correct for proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling in your posts.
- If you see a post removed, understand that it is for a good reason. If your post was removed, please contact the site moderators. Do not post about it in the site.
- Please do not double post.
- Please stay within topic.
- Discussions (including links) on politics and religion are not allowed in the site. There are boards for that and this isn't one of them.
- Discussions (including links) on the following items are also not allowed in the site: alcohol, tobacco, firearms and accessories, gambling, hate speech against an individual or group.
- Please create your profiles carefully. Profiles include usernames, signatures, images, email addresses etc. You may not create a profile that is offensive to other users or suggests illegal activities.
- To curb trolling, new and existing accounts are always audited. Upon registering for a new account, you may see a message like "Your new account is pending approval by the administrator..". This means your account is under review. You can check if your new account has been approved by logging in 24 hours after signing up. You can also check your email to see if your new account has been approved.
- Upon signing in, you may have limited priveledges within the site. This may mean your are in violation of one or more rules but it is minor enough that it doesn't warrant banning you from the site. If so, please read the Board Rules and Terms of Service and take the necessary action(s) to restore your priveledges. If you've taken steps but still have limited priveledges, contact any moderator. Do not post about it in the site.
- Upon signing in, you may have limited priveledges within the site.
This may mean you are signing in from a known troll ISP account. If so, you need to prove you are not a troll via meaningful (and moderated) posts. There is no minimum posting limit and it is up to the moderators to grant(or deny) you extra priveledges based on the quality of your participation.
- Members are allowed only one account. If we find out you have more than one account in the site, you will be banned without notice. If for some reason you need to create another account, please contact any of the moderators before creating one.
- Barring any technical difficulties, if you cannot access or view the site, it is likely you were banned for a reason. You can try to appeal by contacting the moderators however there is no guarantee they will respond because one of the troll's favorite tricks is to waste people's time and energy.
- If you have been banned from The Preppy Journal, you are not permitted to log on again using a different account. Previously banned members will be immediately banned, regardless of behavior.
- Please do not nitpick the rules. Nitpicking rules is considered a form trolling and will get you banned from the site. If you do not agree with these rules, you can always exercise your right not to use the site.
